  • Lists and requirements . . . our world is filled with them. Bank On, a set of national bank account standards created by the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, is no different.

So, which banking institutions in your community fit the list of requirements established by Bank On? As of 2015, 46% of individuals do not have a traditional relationship with banking institutions. One reason for this shocking statistic may be that Floridians are unaware or ill-informed of the financial products available in their own community.

Florida Prosperity Partnership interns, Irene and Joanne, both representing the Boone High School financial academy in Orlando, will share the results of their research on this critical topic. These two emerging professionals will discuss the counties where Florida banks reside, and the financial deposit and credit products they offer their customers. They will divulge their successes and struggles finding products that fell within the guidelines of Bank On and the FDIC, while also comparing national banks to statewide and local financial institutions.

Join Irene and Joanne for this lively overview of their insightful research results.
