Safeguarding Seniors from Scams

Convening in the FPP Zoom Room
Join FPP, Sam Kunjukunju of the American Bankers Association Foundation and Roseanna Powers of Florida Department of Children and Families for an important discussion about elder financial exploitation. Older adults lose billions each year from financial exploitation, and the circumstances are becoming worse.
With 10,000 Baby Boomers turning 65 years old every day, scammers are working overtime to manipulate seniors. The impact often extends beyond finances. Financially exploited seniors often suffer emotional consequences and even physical ramifications.
Yet, elder financial abuse can be prevented. Knowledge is key to prevention and partnerships are vital to protecting seniors.
Tune in to hear from Sam Kunjukunju at the American Bankers Association Foundation and Roseanna Powers from the Florida Department of Children and Families explore prevailing frauds and ways you can help protect elders in your community.
