Children’s Savings Accounts (CSAs) are part of a national movement to give families a boost in funding post-secondary education, but more importantly, they help build the aspirations and expectations of children and parents around higher education.
Virtual Session participants will gain insight into tips and strategies in designing a CSA program based on the launch of Future Bound Miami, Florida’s first CSA program. Future Bound Miami provides kindergarten students in the City of Miami a fee-free, deposit-only savings account with an initial seed deposit of up to $50 for post-secondary education. Students have opportunities to earn additional incentives throughout their academic career while receiving personal financial education.
